Welcome to the ACNY website for St Mary's Church, Askham Richard. This church is part of the Parish of Marston Moor situated just west of York in the New Ainsty Deanery in the Diocese of York. Within the Parish there are five churches which are all situated in beautiful rural villages in North Yorkshire, the details of the other four churches can be found in the 'more information' section listed on the left.

St, Mary's is situated in Askham Richard, a pretty village just outside York . It is a small rural village of approximately 70 houses built around a village green. The former manor house is now Askham Grange HMP and YOI. As a pretty village the residents are accustomed to welcoming visitors and are pleased to have visitors to view the church and attend the regular services.
