St Helena's Church, in the Parish of Bawtry with Austerfield, is one of five churches that form The River Idle Benefice of Churches. We are part of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in the Church of England. We seek to gather as Christ's people, valuing everyone's contribution; Growing in our faith, love and service; Going into the world as disciples. We gather to grow and to go.

St Helena's has a strong connection with the Pilgrim Fathers. William Bradford lived in Austerfield and was baptised in this Church. We welcome visitors to the church and if you would like to donate to the upkeep and ongoing work of this historic church in this community, please click the donate button below.

We are committed to worship for all ages and offer a variety of services across our benefice and we worship together regularly as a benefice.  A Holy Communion service takes place on the 5th Sunday in a month (where there is a 5th Sunday) at 11.15am and there is a service of Holy Communion at 8.30am on every 3rd Sunday in a month . Links with our local schools are very important to us as we work to encourage children to explore and grow in faith. If you would like to find out more about anything that you see here please do contact us or come along to one of our services, we'd love to get to know you!

The parish of Bawtry with Austerfield is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.
