Money isn’t something many of us like to talk about often, particularly during difficult times. Nonetheless, we live in a world in which bills must be paid. Your donation will make a real difference in maintaining and upholding the mission of our church; every penny counts.
Some of the provisions that depend almost entirely on the generosity of church members include:
The monthly quota to the Diocese for providing clergy
The maintenance of our beautiful and historic church building
The costs of the wonderful music that can be heard every week
Our food bank for the needy
Our energy costs
All of these things not only make our church a compelling place to pray and worship but ensure that we continue to play an important role within the town and wider community.
Please do give today.
Thank-you for viewing our page.
We are a welcoming church with regular weekly services.
We are also open for private prayer, and reflection throughout the week.
We have services every Sunday at 8am and 10am, with activities for children, and the opportunity to have a cup of tea and a chat at the end of the service. We welcome you to our services - and look forward to meeting you!
If you are interested in local history, our history goes back over six hundred years. The present church was built in 1849-50. The original church was consecrated in 1410 and we're proud of the three fine memorials of national significance which have been preserved: Sir Anthony Cooke (1576), Sir George Hervey (1605) and Dame Anne Carew (1605).
There is a lot of information on our website, or better than that, pop in and see us.
A warm welcome awaits.
