St Peter's Berkhamsted is the town's parish church and a centre of Eucharistic worship, music and community activity. In 2022 we are celebrating our 800th anniversary with a series of events for the whole town. The church is open throughout the day - you are welcome here to pray, to sit and contemplate or to explore the historic building.
Worship
Our main Sunday service is the 9:30am Sung Eucharist. There are also services through the week, and a monthly service of Choral Evensong. Everyone is welcome at St Peter's, whether you are a regular churchgoer or exploring faith.
Safeguarding
The Parish of Great Berkhamsted is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops' guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. Our safeguarding policies and contact information are available on our website at www.stpetersberkhamsted.org.uk/safeguarding.
The Diocese of St.Albans' safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
