Parish Giving Scheme - Cookies Policy
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or on your computer.
We use the following cookies:
- Essential/Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that remember your path through the website so that you can navigate forwards and backwards through pages.
- Analytical or performance cookies. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
All of these are first party cookies. We do not currently allow any third party cookies.
You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them in the table below:
Session Management Cookies
|JESSIONID||This session cookie is required to follow your progress through the website. It is essential to ensure that any information you enter or routes you take are remembered by the website. Without this cookie, every page you visited would treat you as a completely new visitor. This cookie does not identify you personally and is not linked to any other information we store about you.||Essential||The cookie is deleted when you close the browser.|

|_utmb||This cookie keeps track of the number of times you have been to the PGS site, when your first visit was, and when your last visit occurred.||Analytical / Performance||30 minutes from initial use or update|
|_utmc||This cookie works with the _utmb cookie to indicate to google analytics when you are making a new visit to the site or picking up where you left off.||Analytical / Performance||The cookie is deleted when you close the browser.|
|_utmt||This cookie manages the number of requests for Google Analytics to the server in ten minute intervals, so that it is not overwhelmed.||Analytical / Performance||10 minutes from initial use or update|
|_utmz||This cookie advises google analytics how you reached the PGS site, whether it was through advertising on another page [SKT1] or from a search.
[SKT1]This is what it does - do you have advertising anywhere that might bring a visitor in or are you only using to check google search returns? I can amend to reflect current practice.
|Analytical / Performance||6 months from initial use or update|
