Why does the Abbey need your support?

It costs at least £1,400 a day to maintain this magnificent building that hosts so many services and festivals, musical and cultural events as well as educational activities and is open to all. This great Norman Abbey has existed for over a thousand years but we cannot take its future for granted. We are entirely self-funded and receive no support from the State or the Church of England to support our buildings or activities. Whether you value this Abbey as a place of Christian worship, for its magnificent architecture or its unique place in Romsey’s history or simply as a great place to hold a concert, recital or other event, you too can help to secure its future.
