Welcome to the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Butlers Marston. The village consists of approximately 115 houses and in the 2021 census had a population of 230. The church is the centre of life here in the village, both socially and spiritually.
Our Norman church is testament to the ongoing weekly worship in the church, attended and nurtured by a steady, faithful congregation, who engage with the ‘Worshipping God, Making New Disciples and Transforming Communities’ ethos that runs through churches in the Coventry Diocese. The major Christian festivals are marked in traditional and inventive ways, such as through the traditional Carol Service and our annual panto on Christmas Eve, and charities such as WaterAid and the Children’s Society are supported in Lent and Advent. Rites of passage for those who are resident in the community and those who have been connected with the village.
The village of Butlers, as it is affectionately known, has a great community spirit with regular varied activities throughout the year. Not only do we host monthly themed ‘Marston Meet Ups’, hold at least two church teas a year, a fabulous safari supper, the harvest supper and auction event, and of course all the Christmas celebrations. The majority of funds raised by all these events help support the day-to-day needs of the church, although we also donate to selected charities on an ad-hoc basis.
