Generosity Week

Generosity is at the heart of our faith – God gave the world his only son because he loved it so much. The generosity we show is testament to a lived-out faith and our generous God. Developing a generous culture is also essential for enabling our churches to have a sustainable and growing ministry.

This Harvest we invite your church to take part in Generosity Week. Together we will celebrate the generosity that has helped us through these difficult times, reflect on God’s generosity to us and explore how we can grow generosity in our churches.

There is a range of Generosity Week resources for your church including service and worship materials, a podcast series on generosity in our churches, generosity reflections, guidance on engaging the wider community with generosity and Living Faith: two new discipleship sessions for small groups. You may wish to use all the resources available or just a selection.

To help you promote Generosity Week to the community we have created a marketing toolkit that includes social media graphics, an animated trailer and A5 flyer.

The Generosity Toolkit

Generosity doesn’t end after Generosity Week and it’s important that we embed it in everything we do throughout the year.

The Generosity Toolkit is a resource for your PCC to explore and celebrate the generosity found within the ministry of the church. The toolkit provides a structured way to explore the different ways to live generously, and to reflect on your shared experience of generosity in the life of your church. By working through all the cards within the toolkit, you can learn about the different ways to live generously, reflect on the ways the church lives out God’s generosity and explore ways to grow in generosity in the future.

The aim of the toolkit is to encourage you as you explore the way God’s generosity is found within the church’s ministry, and also help you see how God is calling you to grow in generosity as a church and the steps you need to take to get there.
